Occupational Health Group Annual Conference

On Wednesday 6th October 2004 AWAKE researchers gave a presentation on Tackling Driver Tiredness at the Mid-Downs Occupational Health Group Annual Conference and Exhibition, held at The Hawth Theatre, Crawley.

The conference was attended by 170 Occupational Health nurses, advisors and managers from the Industrial and Retail sectors, NHS Hospital Trusts, Government Departments (Police and M.O.D.), County Councils and London Borough Councils.

The presentation focused on raising awareness of the dangers of driver tiredness and the effective countermeasures that individuals and organisations can implement to reduce the problem, with specific reference to the Emergency Services.
